About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Urology Cancer Team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality holistic care, treatment, education, and health promotion to patients with urological cancer, while supporting their families and carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert care and support to patients with urological cancer, including those with complex needs.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct health education and promotion activities to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
- First-level RGN registration.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., ENB 998) or extensive experience.
- Education to degree level.
- Relevant post-registration qualifications in oncology, haematology, or palliative care.
- Evidence of recent professional development.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Education or working towards Masters level.
- Clinical Examination Module at Level 6/7 or willingness to work towards.
- Psychological support training at Level 2 Post.
- Registration experience.
- Advanced communication skills.
