About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hedge Fund Operations Senior Associate to join our team in London. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our portfolio management teams and ensuring the smooth operation of our hedge fund business.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to our portfolio management teams, including trade capture, P&L validation, and cash and position reconciliations.
  • Monitor trade settlements and identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
  • Support the risk team by providing accurate daily risk data across accounts.
  • Act as a liaison between the portfolio manager, counterparty, and administrator to ensure seamless interaction between all parties.
  • Review and manage the accounting and valuation treatment for a variety of asset classes, including equities, futures, fixed income securities, listed options, currency forwards, contracts-for-difference, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, and other OTC products.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that will result in greater efficiency in daily processes or month-end production across the team.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an appetite for knowledge and a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 3-5 years of prior work experience in a hedge fund, financial institution, or hedge fund administrator operations department.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as custom database environments, OMS/PMS environments, and Advent Geneva.
