Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Travel Trainer in Ealing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing travel training to young individuals and adults with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, empowering them to become confident independent travelers.

About the Role:

  • Conduct travel training sessions with individuals on a one-on-one basis, tailoring the training to meet their specific needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement customized training plans, taking into account the complexities of the journey and the individual's abilities.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to trainees and referrers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and progress.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and community organizations, to promote the travel training program and identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in events and activities that promote the travel training program and raise awareness about the importance of travel training for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Educated to 'A' level / NVQ level 3 in a relevant field, plus 5 GCSE's A-C (new GCSE 4-9) including English and Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in an SEN or adult social care environment is highly desirable, with a proven track record of working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and community organizations.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with strong IT skills and a track record of meeting deadlines.
