Department Overview

  • We primarily focus on custom retail experiential fixtures and transactional stock holding fixtures of various sizes.
  • Our projects include unique fixtures for flagship stores as well as large-scale rollouts for multiple retailers.
  • We operate across diverse markets such as consumer electronics, toys, security, and vape & tobacco.
  • Our team creates detailed renders, walkthroughs, and technical drawings for manufacturing.
  • We source the necessary materials for final assembly at our facility.
  • We coordinate installations across the UK using our dedicated installation teams.
  • Our installations are found in various prominent locations, including major retail chains and events.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to collaborate with clients to deliver exceptional retail marketing initiatives that enhance market presence and positively impact sales.

You will lead a team of Project Managers, guiding their professional development, supporting their career growth, and ensuring they deliver high-quality results. You will manage all assigned projects, taking full responsibility for supplier relationships and budget management, while driving projects through the organization with meticulous attention to detail, determination, and technical acumen to identify the most efficient, high-quality solutions. You should be comfortable working in an office environment as well as on-site during installations or in the warehouse for quality assurance.

Your goal will be to ensure that multiple projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive management of the Project Management team.
  • Full ownership of each project, ensuring planning and execution meet the highest standards, deadlines, and specifications.
  • Regular project status reporting and proactive identification of challenges.
  • Facilitate close collaboration with internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and enhance service levels for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote best practices in fabrication and construction methods and material selection.
  • Engage with suppliers regarding costs, lead times, and quality control.
  • Focus on achieving the best pricing from suppliers.
  • Identify and evaluate current suppliers while supporting staff in assessing price, quality, and service levels.
  • Manage project cost analysis to meet financial objectives by forecasting needs and scheduling expenditures.
  • Maintain client communication for technical and production inquiries.
  • Thoroughly review technical drawings.
  • Prepare estimates and schedules for internal departments.
  • Produce Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
  • Complete and submit all relevant Project Health & Safety, Risk, and Method Statements.
  • Process purchase orders as required.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in people management.
  • Experience with manufacturing techniques involving various materials.
  • Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of recommended manufacturing techniques.
  • Understanding of media players, screens, devices, LED lighting, and connections.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Proven negotiation capabilities.
  • Solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prince2 certification is desirable.

  • Timely and accurate entry of purchase orders and timesheets.
  • Comparison of estimated versus actual project time and budget.
  • Client satisfaction metrics.
  • Accurate and timely logging of timesheets and purchase orders.
