About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Community Paediatrician to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Child Development Service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and families in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in general Child Development Team clinics in various locations across the borough, including developmental assessments, cerebral palsy management, and management of other genetic conditions.
  • Contribute to the Social Communication and Autism (SoCA) assessment service, including assessment for ASD and ADHD, as well as long-term management for ADHD.
  • Participate in Education and Health Care assessments and provide educational and clinical supervision to departmental trainees.
  • Supervise and produce reports, and attend case conferences as required.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent.
  • Full GMC registration.
  • On the GMC specialist register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR-CP in Paediatrics.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams within community settings.
  • Training and experience in identification and management of suspected child abuse.
  • Completed minimum Level 3 Child Protection training within the last 3 years.
