Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the Gastroenterology department.
  • Participate in the general medical on-call rota and work collaboratively with the team to maintain a high level of clinical expertise.

  • Engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement projects to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Person Specification
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Medical degree
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 12 months of interview) or CESR
Eligibility and Fitness to Practise
  • Eligible to work in the UK
Teaching and Supervision
  • Experience in teaching and supervising medical students and junior trainees
Research and Audit
  • Experience of undertaking audits and presenting their findings
  • Able to critically review and apply research to clinical situations
Clinical Practice/Competence
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of clinical experience in Gastroenterology +/- general medicine
