Senior Design Manager – Care Homes

At Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our care home design projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.
  2. Oversee the preparation and review of design drawings, plans, and specifications.
  3. Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  4. Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
  5. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design integrity is maintained.
  6. Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and incorporate their feedback into the design process.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 10 years' experience in design management, preferably within the care home or later living sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of building regulations and standards.
  4. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple design projects simultaneously.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  6. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
  7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
