Overview / Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role within the Measurement Allocation and Auditing (MAA) division, contributing significantly to the pursuit of new opportunities. This individual will be expected to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader support team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will join the MAA consultancy sector and will possess the capability to manage multiple measurement tasks concurrently. A strong team-oriented mindset is essential, as the candidate will provide measurement assistance, direction, and training as required.

Wood PLC is looking for an individual with prior experience in a measurement team, encompassing vital areas such as Consultancy, Assurance, and Engineering Support. The candidate should have extensive industry experience, particularly in Flow Measurement, and be recognized as an authority in the field.

The candidate must exhibit proficiency in flow quality measurement, employing a diverse array of technologies, and possess a comprehensive understanding of ISO, AGA, and AGI measurement standards and calculations at a minimum. The ability to make informed judgments based on experience regarding the importance of any measurement challenges that arise is crucial.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Skills:

  • Deliver Technical and Engineering Support to Client Assets.
  • Optimize Maintenance Processes.
  • Review and Revise Procedures and Work Schedules.
  • Conduct On-Site Gap Analyses to Identify Areas for Improvement.
  • Manage Projects Effectively.
  • Identify Improvement Initiatives focusing on Health & Safety, Efficiency, and Cost Benefits.
  • Review Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Project Documentation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and produce necessary documentation.
  • Engage in Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and produce relevant documentation.
  • Support Commissioning Processes and produce associated documentation.
  • Provide Asset Support.
  • Report on Metering Progress.
  • Supervise and Manage the MAA Consultancy Team.
  • Facilitate the Raising of Dispensations, Deviations, and Mismeasurements to Regulatory Authorities or Asset Operators.
  • Approve Dispensations, Deviations, and Mismeasurements on behalf of assets from pipeline entrants.


QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Qualifications:

The candidate will be a self-driven professional with a background in measurement.
  • PhD, Degree, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive industry experience, particularly in Flow Measurement, and recognized as an expert in the field.
Measurement Expertise:
  • Application of Measurement and Analyzers
  • Sampling and Laboratory Analysis
  • Flow Calculations
  • Phase Behavior and PVT Applications
  • Multiphase and Wet Gas Metering
  • Well-Test Design and Validation
  • Uncertainty Analysis
  • Equipment Testing and Qualification
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: API, AGA, GPA, ASTM, ISO, EI, OIML, GOST, etc.
  • Commercial Support for Production Agreements and Regulatory Permits
  • Investigation and Reporting of Allocation Disputes
  • Process Simulation Modeling
