Occupational Therapist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team within the Older Peoples' Mental Health Inpatient Ward in Peterborough. The successful candidate will work with older adults with functional and organic mental health conditions, providing specialist assessments and treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions underpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery.
- Provide occupational therapy advice and interventions to support patients to engage in occupational activity and increase function.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve patient-centered goals.
- Participate in regular supervision and appraisal, and support the management, supervision, and appraisal of junior staff.
- Be accountable for own and delegated work, and practice within HCPC guidelines.

Requirements- Occupational Therapy bachelor level qualification.
- HCPC registered OT.
- Experience of developing a therapeutic timetable of interventions that meet the needs of this client group.
- Able to develop effective therapeutic relationships with people with mental health problems and their carers.
- Ability to plan, manage, and prioritise own workload with an MDT.
