Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced HR Advisor to join our team at Gleeson Recruitment Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on employee relations, absence management, and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations cases, including complex disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Lead on absence management cases, working closely with line managers to identify trends and implement effective solutions
  • Assist with restructures and consultations, providing guidance on employment law and best practices
  • Visit sites and work with line managers to identify employee issues, providing coaching and upskilling to improve employee engagement and productivity
  • Update and amend contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law
  • Assist with recruitment, providing guidance on interview techniques and selection processes
  • Work with the administrative team to maintain accurate employee records and databases
  • Take notes at meetings and hearings, providing clear and concise summaries of discussions and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HR, with a strong understanding of employment law and best practices
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and implement effective solutions
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards this qualification
