Research Integrity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Integrity Manager to join our team at Emerald Publishing. As a key member of our research integrity department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our publications and supporting our stakeholders in maintaining the highest standards of research ethics.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of potential research integrity and publication ethics issues across the Emerald portfolio, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders and journal editorial teams.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to determine and facilitate the resolution of publication ethics cases, ensuring that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the process.
- Develop and deliver training on publication ethics, both internally and externally, to promote best practice and ensure that our stakeholders have the knowledge and skills they need to maintain the highest standards of research integrity.
- Act as a subject matter expert on research integrity issues, providing advice and guidance to our Peer Review Editor team, production team, and publishing teams on best practice editorial guidance and commissioning due diligence.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Emerald's Research Integrity strategic plan, working closely with our research integrity department and wider business to build and disseminate practical resources, test and implement tools and technology, and review and update policies and processes to ensure they are aligned with best practice and industry guidelines.
- Proven experience in research integrity and publication ethics, with a strong understanding of industry guidelines and best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments in complex situations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong knowledge of research integrity and publication ethics, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of research ethics and integrity.
