Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Integrity Manager to join our team at Emerald Publishing. As a key member of our research integrity department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our research and publications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of potential research integrity and publication ethics issues across the Emerald portfolio, providing expert guidance and support to internal stakeholders and journal editorial teams.
  • Develop and deliver training on publication ethics, both internally and externally, to promote best practice and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine and facilitate the resolution of publication ethics cases, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and Emerald's research integrity strategic plan.
  • Support the Peer Review Editor team on research integrity issues ahead of publication, and the production team on research integrity issues post-publication.
  • Advise publishing teams on best practice editorial guidance and commissioning due diligence, ensuring the highest standards of research integrity.
Delivering Emerald's Research Integrity Strategic Plan
  • Develop and disseminate practical resources for internal and external stakeholders to support them in their roles, promoting a culture of research integrity.
  • Test and implement tools and technology to support the research integrity department and the wider business, enhancing our ability to detect and prevent research integrity issues.
  • Review and update policies and processes, ensuring they align with best practice and industry guidelines, and are effective in promoting research integrity.
  • Use and analyze data to report on research integrity trends, informing future priorities and driving continuous improvement.
