Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary school in North Tyneside. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with their academic and personal development, promoting inclusion and acceptance of all students, and working closely with the teaching staff to deliver high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting pupils with their individual needs and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring that all pupils have access to high-quality education.
  • Deliver targeted support to pupils who require additional help, including catch-up sessions and one-to-one support.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and nurturing environment, promoting the well-being and happiness of all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • A passion for education and a commitment to promoting academic excellence.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to work under the guidance of the teaching staff.
