A leading FMCG business in the North West is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Manager to join their team at Axon Moore Group Ltd.

About the Role

  • As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide financial control and management reporting to challenge and support the sales and operations teams to achieve their corporate and budgetary requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate costing in all aspects of the business, including business partnering with Business Unit Directors and influencing where required.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Developing and maintaining a pricing strategy
    • Creating a simple monthly review of margin performance to highlight issues and allow effective control and management
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Identifying margin and profit enhancement opportunities
    • Providing the business with sales and cost analysis reports to assist with management decision making
    • Leading a detailed review of all product-related costs and refining the approach to standard costing
    • Identifying opportunities to reduce product cost
    • Establishing a control framework to ensure cost is always considered in product/customer decision making

Requirements

  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, however nearly qualified accountants will also be considered
  • Confident communicator, with an ability to challenge
  • Experience of working cross-functionally with other departments
