About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Residential Childcare Specialist to join our team at Randstad Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour care to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Administer medication and provide emotional guidance to children living away from their families.
  • Assist with personal development, education, and social interactions, promoting independence and essential life skills.
  • Manage challenging behavior with appropriate strategies and provide a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a residential setting with young people.
  • Flexibility in the roles undertaken and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in assisting with educational needs and activities for children.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to register under the PVG scheme.
  • Full driving license (preferred) and SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable).
