Job Title: Senior Employment Lawyer

Watershed is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our employment law department, you will play a crucial role in helping us grow and develop our services in employment law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize opportunities and build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Advise on a wide range of employment law matters, including contentious and non-contentious cases.
  • Represent clients at employment tribunals and appeal tribunals, including advocacy.
  • Help clients transform their businesses by advising on complex collective redundancies, collective bargaining, and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) transfers.
  • Manage client projects and deal with day-to-day employment matters.
  • Build and sustain relationships with clients, develop new accounts, and provide innovative solutions.
About You:

We are looking for a Senior Employment Lawyer with:

  • Experience in employment law, with a track record of working with large private sector businesses.
  • 5+ years' post-qualified experience in a fees-based professional firm.
  • Solid technical competence in employment law.
  • The confidence to advise senior managers within large organizations.

You should also be:

  • Up-to-date with modern working practices and able to understand the pressures faced by busy managers.
  • Personable and professional, with the ability to develop new business in a competitive industry.
  • Capable of building and maintaining relationships with demanding clients.
  • A confident communicator, able to present and provide services that match clients' needs.
  • Commercially astute, with a desire to build long-term relationships.
