Senior Practitioner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Practitioner to develop and implement a high-quality peri-operative service that meets the needs of all clients requiring surgery.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain a dynamic and enthusiastic role model, providing clinical leadership on specialty issues to ensure a high standard of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized programs of care for patients during the pre-operative and peri-operative periods.
- Evaluate patient programs of care with other members of the care team.
- Recognize and respect the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Cooperate with staff from other departments to develop effective channels of communication and provide a safe and caring environment for patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop clinical standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a high-quality service is delivered.
- Act at all times within the policies and procedures of the Unit/Directorate.
- Assist in the development of clinical competencies and participate in research projects and quality developments.

Requirements- Registered Practitioners (General Level 1) with valid NMC Registration or equivalent HCPC registration.
- ENB 998 or City and Guilds 730 or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Management experience.
- Completion of Mentor Preparation.
- Working towards degree-level credits in an associated pathway.
