Job Title: Unix Administrator

Job Summary:

Vallum Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Unix Administrator to join our team. As a Unix Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our Unix infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support for Unix-based systems and applications.
  • Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Unix technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Unix administration.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Unix (AIX, Solaris, Linux).
  • Strong knowledge of Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Cluster Server, and Veritas NetBackup Client.
  • Ability to develop complex shell scripts and automate tasks.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the finance and banking industry.
  • Full-stack engineering skills, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Groovy.
  • Familiarity with Google and Amazon Cloud Services.
