We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teaching assistant to join our team at Veritas Education Recruitment. As an advanced teaching assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across all key stages in a primary school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for students.
- Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support, helping to meet learning objectives and improve academic outcomes.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Supervise students during break times and lunch, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Contribute to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and promoting their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to enhance the educational experience of our students, sharing best practices and expertise.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working as an HLTA in a primary school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- A passion for education and a commitment to the well-being and development of students.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive learning environment.
- Knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching methods, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices in education.
