Owens Group is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in our Carrington Depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, route, and schedule a large fleet of HGVs and drivers to ensure efficient operations.
  • Liaise with other planning teams across the UK to optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and drivers to ensure smooth delivery operations.
  • Prioritize workload, plan routes, and schedule delivery times to meet corporate deadlines.
  • Monitor compliance and work with drivers and compliance teams to eliminate infringements.
  • Ensure drivers are aware of SAFED regulations and actively contribute to improving SAFED achievements.
  • Be an integral part of employee health and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure vehicles and trailers are available in a timely manner to meet compliance and inspection requirements.
  • Provide general support to management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good geographical knowledge and computer skills, including proficiency in Sterling and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexibly and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.
