About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Monkseaton Medical Centre. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments as needed.
  • Process patient payments and handle cash, credit card transactions, and other financial transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying, as required.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice.
  • Knowledge of SystmOne computer system or similar electronic patient record system.
