Medical Office Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Northumberland Park Medical Group. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including scheduling appointments, answering calls, and processing paperwork.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other staff members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Utilize technology proficiently, including medical software systems, to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with practice procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and processing repeat prescriptions, in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Initiate contact with patients and other team members to respond to requests and provide information.
- Clear and restock consulting rooms as required, and maintain a clean and tidy reception area.
- Provide clerical assistance to practice staff as needed, including word processing, filing, and photocopying.
- Order and monitor stationery and other supplies, and deal with clinical waste as necessary.
- Promote online services and maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions.
Requirements
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Experience of working with public/patients.
- Desirable: Customer Service NVQ or equivalent, experience of working in an NHS or Healthcare setting, and knowledge of clinical computer systems (SystmOne).
