About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development Manager to join our team at Wates. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end proposal process, from drafting solid strategies to putting the finishing touches on submissions.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Proposal Process: Manage the entire proposal process from concept to completion, ensuring every bid is structurally sound and compelling.
  • Content Creation: Edit and enhance input from stakeholders, building winning narratives that integrate key strategies and win themes.
  • Collaboration and Team Management: Partner with our in-house specialists to bolster our bids with innovative and value-driven content, and manage a team of graphic designers, external agencies, and contributors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Attend debriefs to gather lessons learned and help us continuously reinforce and refine our approach.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Pass on your best practices and support the development of our national proposals team to ensure everyone's working at peak performance.
