About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Briggs and Forrester Group. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality bids and tenders that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of accurate and competitive prime cost estimates for mechanical services, electrical services, and builders work.
  • Implement effective win strategies and present high-quality bids that meet our clients' requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate prime cost production on all tenders, ensuring a competitive and accurate prime cost is achieved.
  • Undertake estimating tasks, including preparing budgets, issuing and evaluating supply chain quotations, and implementing strategies for supply chain engagement.
  • Develop and implement the win strategy for each tender to differentiate the bid and increase the likelihood of success.
  • Manage the formulation, drafting, and editing of tender submission documents and presentation material.
  • Liaise with the commercial department to review and comment on proposed terms and conditions, warranties, and implement a strategy for presentation and agreement with the client.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience in building services estimating.
  • Qualified to HND level in Building Services or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and be a good team player.
  • Proficient in Estimation, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Asta PowerProject.
