About the Role

Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. If you have at least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings and have a QTS in English, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with behavioural challenges and SEMH. You will utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to make English accessible, exciting, and relevant for all students.

You will continuously assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. You will also develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) that address the specific needs of each student.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. At least 6 months of experience working in a SEN or SEMH setting.
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  3. A valid DBS certificate.
  4. Additional qualifications related to SEN or SEMH (desirable).
