About the Role

Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis. As a specialist in teaching English to students with Behavioural Challenges and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with Behavioural Challenges and SEMH.
  2. Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to make English accessible, exciting, and relevant for all students.
  3. Continuously assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Individual Student Support
  1. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) that address the specific needs of each student.
  2. Provide personalised interventions and support to help students overcome barriers to learning, build self-esteem, and achieve their academic goals.
Requirements
  1. At least 6 months of experience working in a SEN or SEMH setting.
  2. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  3. A valid DBS certificate.
  4. Additional qualifications related to SEN or SEMH (desirable).
