Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Lead to become a vital part of our Clinical Governance Team. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence for a portion of the week.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week Compensation: starting at £47,000, with potential increase to £49,000 upon successful completion of probation, in addition to a monthly vehicle allowance of £350.

Work Location: Primarily in West Sussex, with expectations to travel across various regions of the UK.

The Regulatory Compliance Lead will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of thorough audits and inspections across Shaw Healthcare facilities that are registered with national regulatory bodies.

  • This role will require collaboration with individual Service Managers, operational management teams, and colleagues at Shaw's head office.
  • The Lead will communicate the results of compliance audits, establish requirements and timelines for Service Managers and operational teams, and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Compliance and Governance, the Lead will work closely with Compliance & Governance colleagues and operational teams to drive continuous quality improvement and business development.
  • The role includes maintaining oversight of a portfolio of regulated services, ensuring timely completion of required audits, monitoring risk levels, addressing incoming concerns, and keeping all records current.
  • Conducting audits according to a predetermined schedule, observing and reporting on the well-being of service users, identifying non-compliance issues, and addressing safeguarding concerns will be essential responsibilities.
  • The Lead will be accountable for managing and advancing actions related to services of concern while liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with managers to set and achieve organizational performance goals, both quantitative and qualitative, is a key aspect of this role.
  • Preparing correspondence and reports regarding specific issues related to services will also be required.

General Management Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct compliance audits across all Shaw Healthcare facilities registered with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Provide professional advice and analysis in line with corporate Compliance & Governance standards.
  • Uphold the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Ensure registration with relevant professional bodies is maintained (when applicable).
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation, guidance, policies, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, clinical, auditing, and presentation skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory framework and its impact on registered settings.
  • Significant experience in staff and audit management within health and social care.
  • Proven qualifications and experience in health and social care, including management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
  • Capacity to gather evidence objectively and make informed decisions regarding care quality and service delivery.
  • A constructive, honest, and open approach to inspections and audits, including delivering feedback and following up on action plans.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
