Key Responsibilities:

As a Deputy Manager, you will oversee the smooth operation of daily shifts, ensuring that each resident receives tailored care that meets their unique needs. You will also:

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, enhancing their skills in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in care.

Essential Skills:

  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage performance and motivate staff.
  • Self-driven with resilience in challenging situations.
  • Thorough understanding of care regulations.

Qualifications:

A minimum of SVQ Level 3 in Social Care or an equivalent qualification is required (this is essential for registration with the relevant regulatory body). We also encourage candidates who are willing to pursue this qualification.
