Reception Manager

Blue Arrow is seeking a skilled Reception Manager to join their team at a boutique hotel in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of the hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the front desk and oversee the team, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Oversee reservations, corporate bookings, and liaise with the conference and banqueting team to ensure accuracy and billing.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Recruit, train, and develop reception staff, ensuring they meet the hotel's high standards.
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, and performance, ensuring adequate cover and minimizing disruptions.
- Conduct regular staff appraisals and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Assess training needs and develop Personal Development Plans for receptionists.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and report on cash control, revenue, and occupancy rates.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve hotel goals and objectives.
- Previous experience as a Reception Manager or similar role in the hotel industry.
- Extensive knowledge of reception processes and hotel operations systems.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel rooms, meeting services, and local area attractions.
- Ability to operate hotel management systems, including Opera.
