The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations of the store.
- Take responsibility for the store and team in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and optimising KPI performance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Develop and execute a tasting events programme to engage customers and drive sales.
- Support the recruitment, management, and development of the team.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
- Understanding of retail KPIs and ability to drive improvements.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- WSET 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to work towards WSET 3 qualification.
- Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
