Position Overview

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Analyst to play a pivotal role in our organization. This position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to support the Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) Infrastructure, as well as Voice and Data network services, ensuring the delivery of a dependable and efficient service across various locations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Overseeing a diverse range of IT Infrastructure, voice, and data networks provided by both internal and external partners to align with the DDAT Strategy.
  • Implementing, managing, and providing ongoing support for these services, utilizing specialized technical and business acumen.
  • Coordinating daily operational activities and fostering relationships between service functions and business units to ensure cohesive service delivery from design to decommissioning.
  • Traveling to various NHSBSA locations as required.

Main Duties

The role encompasses:

  • Demonstrating expertise in developing, implementing, and supporting a variety of ICT solutions and design strategies within a multi-supplier environment.
  • Conducting thorough analyses of technical designs and providing assurance regarding supplier proposals.
  • Possessing substantial knowledge in supporting diverse ICT services, including telecommunications, data networks, and server infrastructure systems.
  • Utilizing knowledge of infrastructure services such as Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PowerShell, and Exchange.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting complex ICT solutions.
  • Having familiarity with network/firewall technologies and Microsoft products, particularly Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint.
  • Administering Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) and managing Microsoft Server Clustering.
  • Administering SAN and NAS storage systems.
