Job Overview:
The Cost Analyst will play a crucial role in determining the financial requirements for passive fire protection initiatives. This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including sales, project management, and operations, to develop competitive and profitable proposals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to produce precise cost estimates.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure comprehensive project coverage.
- Manage the tender tracker to guarantee timely submission of bids.
- Work alongside the Account Manager to oversee opportunities and help set client expectations.
- Partner with the Contracts Manager to identify project risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Attend sales meetings to discuss the sales pipeline and current projects.
- Support the sales team during client meetings and negotiations.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, technologies, and fire protection solutions.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a cost analyst in the passive fire protection sector or a related field.
- Solid understanding of fire protection systems and materials.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimation software.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based with occasional site visits. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
