We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CAD Designer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our Engineering Division, you will be responsible for leading a team of CAD designers in designing bespoke structural and architectural metalwork structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of CAD designers in developing innovative designs for structural and architectural metalwork structures.
  • Use advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to create, modify, and finalize layout drawings, including custom and related construction drawings.
  • Translate structural engineers' specifications into 3D general arrangements (GA's) using Autodesk Advance Steel.
  • Manage workflow, track performance, and ensure the delivery of CAD drawings for each project.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain CAD processes within the department.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in CAD design with expertise in Advanced Steel or Tekla, particularly in working with structural steel or related fields.
  • Advanced experience with CAD design software, with at least 5 years of use, or an equivalent degree or technical education.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to support the development of a team of CAD designers.
