Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled School Improvement Advisor (Governance) to join our team at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. As a key member of our Children, Young People and Families Directorate, you will play a vital role in developing school governance and networked communities of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective governance strategies to support school improvement
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to school governing bodies on governance and leadership
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance arrangements and make recommendations for improvement
  • Support the development of high-quality professional development (CPD) programs for school leaders and governors
  • Manage complaints and concerns related to governance and school improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of education governance and leadership, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be confident in using data to inform decision-making and have a good knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance.
