About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Simpson Booth. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering operational and project management/engineering support to our business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and operations to ensure safe and profitable delivery of services
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of annual operational budget and objectives
  • Provide technical and operational support in the compilation of quotes, proposals, and tenders
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager and Business Unit Manager to ensure all activities are carried out to company standards
  • Manage ad hoc projects and support other business lines
  • Prepare workpacks, including implementation procedures, plans, engineering drawings, equipment lists, and materials as required
  • Ensure job briefings are carried out and liaise with the Engineering team as needed
  • Liaise with onsite technicians to ensure work is progressing as planned and support with technical queries
  • Manage scope variations and ensure they are presented to the client in a timely manner
  • Monitor and control relevant project costs to maximize profit
  • Compile and issue final reports to the client as needed
  • Ensure invoices are submitted to the client in a timely manner
  • Support Sales personnel with client management and expectations
  • Maintain and improve technical procedures and work instructions
  • Assist with the growth of ICR and support opportunities to the business
  • Ensure all company processes and procedures are adhered to
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level
  • Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry and HSEQ requirements is essential
  • Mechanical/Engineering background is essential
  • Demonstrable track record of problem-solving and working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external clients
  • Experience in using a range of office software, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience preferred but not necessary
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Presentation skills for internal and external clients
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Self-starter with a collaborative approach and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work on own initiative and self-manage own workload and those of others
  • Sets high standards in quality of work and excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to contribute to new ideas and processes
  • A right first time approach on all work
