About the Role

Mencap is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in Ollerton. We are recruiting for various positions, including full-time, part-time, and relief roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live independently and comfortably.
  • Assist with daily activities, such as bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Support individuals to manage their finances, pay bills, and cook healthy meals.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, promoting their understanding of the world around them.
  • Encourage community and social inclusion, supporting individuals to access local events and activities.
Requirements
  • No prior experience is required, but a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Able to work flexibly, including weekends and waking nights.
