About the Role

Cromwell Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Physiotherapist to join our bank staff. As a bank physiotherapist, you will provide a client-centred and evidence-based service to adult inpatients, continuing their therapy care on weekdays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the physiotherapy caseload assigned to you, practicing as an accountable professional.
  • Provide individualized treatment programs for patients with varied respiratory and cardiac presentations, including those undergoing cardiothoracic or major general surgery.
  • Monitor and provide physiotherapy services to the adult Intensive Care Unit.
  • Manage clinical risk within your caseload, ensuring effective communication and management of potential risks.
  • Liaise with nursing staff and assess or deal with new admissions not included on your handover list.
  • Provide assistance to weekend colleagues as your caseload and clinical competence allow.
Requirements
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • HCPC registration and CSP membership.
  • Proven broad experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, including acute respiratory, critical care, general surgery, and general medical caseloads.
  • Knowledge of specialist devices appropriate to respiratory care.
