Revenue Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Analyst to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Private Care Division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the billing department, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and revenue monitoring.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue capture and reduce billing delays.
  • Collaborate with our outsourced billing partner to ensure seamless operations and optimal revenue management.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Manage and maintain invoicing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
Operational Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a programme of transformation within the Private Care billing department to ensure it is high-functioning and efficient.
  • Lead monthly meetings with insurance providers and embassies to discuss billing issues and resolve disputes.
  • Manage the billing and credit control function to ensure it is efficient and continuously improved to maximise revenue capture.
  • Ensure that all Consultant payments are properly compliant with CMA regulations and that there are clear contractual terms in place to govern them.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Manage and be accountable for the proactive management of relationships with sponsors of Private Care and its suppliers.
  • Support on contract negotiations with sponsors of Private Care to secure profitable pricing and ensure timely financial uplifts.
Communication Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including Consultants, their private medical secretaries, prospective patients, embassies, referrers, and other third-party sponsors.
  • Clearly communicate changes in process and policies to key stakeholders and keep them abreast of any relevant developments and changes within the finance function.
People Management Responsibilities
  • Provide support, guidance, and development opportunities for staff, with clear and consistent feedback.
  • Ensure that all staff have annual appraisals, meet mandatory training requirements, have structured performance reviews, and that clear performance-related objectives are set.
