Finance Assistant Role at Reed

Reed is excited to represent a client undergoing rapid growth, expanding from one site to five in four years. This growth has led to the creation of a new role, Finance Assistant, on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will have sole responsibility for the finance function in the Teesside division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transactions: Generate and process sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Account Management: Maintain the sales ledger and reconcile accounts receivable on a regular basis.
  • Credit Control: Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries.
  • Financial Planning: Review study budgets outlined in contracts and contribute to the set-up of study financials.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to sales and accounts receivable.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of sales ledger operations.
  • Support: Provide support during audits and assist in the resolution of audit findings related to sales ledger activities.

The organization offers a dynamic and collaborative working environment, along with professional development and training opportunities. The successful candidate will be diligent, detail-oriented, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and a strong background in finance.

Paying a competitive salary of up to £33,000 per annum and with a lucrative benefits package including 25 days Holidays + Bank Holidays, with additional holidays as years in service increase, along with 2pm finishes on a Friday.
