Restaurant & Cafe Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Tonic Talent. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the back of house operations in our fast-paced, fresh-food cafe & restaurant located within a busy visitor attraction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to drive sales and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a quality, fresh-food, fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
