Job Opportunity: Chef De Partie

Manpower UK has partnered with a prestigious College in Oxford City Centre to recruit a skilled Chef De Partie for a permanent, full-time position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food in a busy, award-winning kitchen environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to agreed standards, under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Serve food when required, maintaining the highest standards of presentation and quality.
  • Ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas are clean and hygienic, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Receive and check food deliveries, ensuring accurate stock rotation and control.
  • Work on and take charge of a section of the kitchen, as instructed by the Head Chef.
  • Assist the Head Chef in developing new dishes and menus, showcasing creativity and flair.
  • Supervise and train junior members of the kitchen team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Support the kitchen's compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting the needs of students, Fellows, staff, and guests.

Requirements:

  • At least three years' relevant experience working in a large kitchen, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Craft-trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Food Preparation.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to train.
  • Thorough familiarity with health and safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Passion for high-quality food and proven experience of producing high standards of meals.
