Babcock International Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to contribute to our vital nuclear defueling program at Devonport.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of essential systems and equipment. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and performance of these critical assets.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive asset condition surveys and identify potential obsolescence issues within existing EC&I systems.
- Develop detailed specifications for replacement equipment and components, ensuring compatibility and adherence to industry standards.
- Maintain meticulous technical drawings and documentation, providing clear and accurate representations of EC&I systems.
- Provide expert support in diagnosing and rectifying faults within EC&I systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop innovative EC&I solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.
- Demonstrated operational knowledge of diverse EC&I systems, including their functionality, maintenance requirements, and safety protocols.
- A thorough understanding of relevant industry legislation and regulatory guidelines pertaining to EC&I design and implementation.
- Proven experience in the development and integration of EC&I systems within complex engineering environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Proficiency in producing high-quality electrical engineering drawings using industry-standard software tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Professional registration with an accredited engineering institute is highly desirable.
Security Clearance: SC security clearance is mandatory for this role.
