About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical & Electronic Design Engineer to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for our marine and defence projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for marine and defence projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer requirements and regulatory standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and design teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure our designs meet the latest standards

Requirements

  • Highly developed knowledge of electrical and electronic design principles and practices
  • Significant experience in engineering calculation, analysis, and integration with an in-depth understanding of system electrical design
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant institution, such as the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA)
