Company Overview: Condé Nast is a leading global media organization renowned for producing premium content that reaches over 1 billion consumers across 32 markets through various platforms including print, digital, video, and social media.

Position Summary: As the Chief Business Officer (CBO) for our UK Commercial sales teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue and strategic expansion within the UK market.

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Managing Director, EMEA, and collaborate closely with the Global Chief Business Officer of Advertising Revenue. Your leadership will guide a team of Heads of Industry, overseeing the development and execution of innovative commercial strategies tailored for the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance revenue growth by transforming existing sales approaches and introducing innovative strategies across all platforms, with a strong emphasis on digital.
  • Manage a senior team of Heads of Industry responsible for key sectors such as Fashion, Beauty & Luxury, Travel, Home, BizFiTech, Media, Entertainment & Auto.
  • Ensure that the Commercial sales teams maintain a rigorous focus on data analytics to establish team and individual performance metrics.
  • Inspire and elevate the broader commercial sales function, setting new standards for excellence and achievement.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with clients and agencies, while strengthening ties with key stakeholders to enhance renewal rates and stimulate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with Editorial and Creative teams to ensure alignment in content, facilitating successful cross-platform program execution.
  • Work alongside Editorial leadership to deliver profitable, world-class events, creating new opportunities while remaining aligned with the brands' creative vision.
  • Foster talent development and cultivate a culture of collaboration, performance, respect, and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a commercial sales function within the media sector.
  • Extensive background in commercial revenue generation with a proven track record of successfully transforming and driving revenue across all platforms in a global context.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, committed to effective people management and building high-performing commercial teams, particularly in digital.
  • A creative and engaged leader who fosters an inclusive and empowering workplace.
  • Experience in shaping and implementing global commercial strategies within the media and publishing industries.
  • Strong professional network within the media sector.
  • A self-motivated individual with high energy and outstanding presentation, creative, and analytical capabilities.
  • A genuine passion and deep knowledge of Condé Nast's brands.
