About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our activities program at Folkestone Nursing Home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities for residents, focusing on promoting their well-being and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a diverse range of activities suitable for residents in an assisted living environment, including events, outings, and social gatherings.
  2. Collaborate with care staff to tailor activities to meet the individual needs and preferences of residents, ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.
  3. Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback, using this information to inform future activity planning.
  4. Ensure activities comply with health and safety regulations and enhance the overall resident experience.

Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a similar role within a care home or assisted living facility, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality activities programs.
  2. Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with seniors, with a strong understanding of their needs and preferences.
  3. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff, with the ability to build strong relationships and promote a positive resident experience.
  4. Passion for providing high-quality care and improving the lives of older adults, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Working Arrangements

  • Full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
