Hygiene Team Leader Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Hygiene Team Leader to be part of a team within the manufacturing industry. You will be managing the team and the hygiene services on a day-to-day basis, responsible for documenting all regimes and implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Hygiene team members at all times to ensure they wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report any issues that arise to the Hygiene Manager.
  • Report any Food Safety and Health & Safety concerns and ensure the correct forms are completed.
  • Achieve a "right first time" clean by following set work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cleaning tasks.
  • Participate in daily Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits.
  • Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.
  • Ensure hygiene operatives are following the correct guidelines when cleaning machines.
  • Manage and develop hygiene staff on the shift to ensure they are proactive and carry out their job roles in a safe and effective manner.
  • Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
  • Organize and control stock issues and generate stock replenishment orders.

Essential Experience:

  • Previous hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Supervising a team.
  • Level 2 Food Safety certification.
  • Basic knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
  • Basic understanding of BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards.
  • Previous knowledge of hygiene practices.
  • Numerate and literate, with the ability to follow instructions.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 6am - 4pm, 45 hours per week.
