Gynaecological Oncology Clinical Fellow

Position Overview: The successful candidate will engage in the On-Call rota for Senior Registrars (ST6/7), where they will be required to perform Obstetrics at a senior level, specifically as the third-on call.
Clinical Responsibilities: There may be occasions where the individual is asked to cover other clinical areas within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department to ensure adequate senior registrar support.
Patient Management: Clinical fellows are expected to deliver proactive senior medical oversight in the care of pre-operative and post-operative patients, as well as managing Gynaecological emergencies.
Qualifications: Candidates should have successfully completed MRCOG part 2 (or an equivalent qualification) and have a minimum of three years' experience at registrar level or equivalent in an RCOG accredited unit. BSCCP accreditation is mandatory.
Teaching and Supervision: The role will involve mentoring and educating junior staff.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for this position. The post-holder is expected to maintain the highest standards of interaction with patients, their families, consultants, junior medical staff, midwives, and nurses, as collaborative team work is fundamental to our patient-centered service.
