About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Whittington Health. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment, and management of language and communication difficulties in young people aged 11-19 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment and intervention for young people with language and communication difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of each young person
  • Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to ensure seamless care and support
  • Contribute to the development of the service and the team, sharing expertise and best practices

Person Specification
  • BSc. in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Health and Care Professions Council Registration to Practice
  • Registered Member of RCSLT
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Successful completion of specialist post graduate study relevant to communication and specific speech and language disorders
  • Experience of training parents, teachers, TA's and students
  • Experience of working at a specialist level with adolescents and/or clients with a range of speech, language and communication needs aged between 8-25
