Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom EIT Pathogena Full time
About EIT Pathogena

EIT Pathogena is a cutting-edge organization dedicated to revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our mission is to develop Whole Genome Sequencing-based metagenomic and individual pathogen clinical tools, with the ultimate aim of creating an 'always-on global pathogen metagenomics system' that can identify Pathogen X and provide early warning of disease epidemics.

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive SaaS Product Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and driving its success in the market. In this hybrid role, you will spend three days a week in the office, collaborating closely with our teams, while the remainder of your time can be spent working remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development and Lifecycle Management: Translate scientific experiments into defined products, manage the product lifecycle, and align product development with our strategy. Work closely with our Head of Product, Chief Science Officer, and Chief Technology Officer to ensure alignment with user needs and market demands.
  • Product Ideation and Roadmap Refinement: Oversee the refinement of product ideation into a clear roadmap, drive value and innovation through user-centric design, and create user stories with clear success criteria to guide the development process.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead customer-facing discussions and visits, engage in conference presentations and networking, and gather insights and feedback to inform product development.
  • Market Analysis: Build an understanding of the market landscape and competitors, and stay informed about trends and innovation in the industry.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a product manager, ideally in a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • A degree in life sciences or experience working within a life sciences company (experience in infectious disease diagnostics, genomics, or lab diagnostics is a bonus).
  • Comfort working with agile development teams, creating user stories, and defining success criteria.
  • Ability to lead customer-facing discussions and visits, as well as engage in conference presentations and networking.
About You

We seek a highly motivated and proactive individual with a passion for leveraging technology to improve health outcomes globally. You should be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving innovation and managing complex product ecosystems.
