This role is working Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a temporary post, initially until the end of March 2025. The hourly rate is £15.95.

Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for installing equipment into vehicles in compliance with industry-approved specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing equipment and associated wiring systems into vehicles in full compliance with approved installation specifications.
- Fabricating, where required, mounting solutions to house vehicle equipment that will complement existing vehicle layouts.
- Assembling and installing into vehicles pre-fabricated modular components such as load carriers and containment cells.
- Calibrating and road testing specific installed equipment.
- Diagnosing vehicle emergency equipment faults and determining appropriate solutions to rectify those faults.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum level 4 NVQ technical qualification in the automotive field, hold an equivalent qualification, or have evidenced relevant experience.
Proven knowledge and experience of general engineering skills, including soldering, drilling, cutting, and terminating cables, and experience in the use of electronic test equipment are also essential.
The postholder will be required to drive force vehicles, therefore must possess a full driving licence.
